Originating from Myanmar, the Odessa Barb is one of the most recognisable of tropical fish. These barbs will adapt to a wide range of conditions and should be kept in shoals of 6 or more individuals.
Whilst they can be kept in a temperate aquarium, a heater should be introduced in the colder months to ensure that the temperature remains above 15°C. Like all barbs, they are not fussy feeders and will accept a varied diet of flakes, granules and fresh or frozen foods.
